TRAVEL

From Liverpool Airport
- Those flying to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, can easily take the city bus (30mins) to the centre. A short taxi ride will then take you to your hotel.

From Manchester Airport
- The train leaves from within the airport and takes 50mins to Liverpool Lime Street station. You are best placed to take the short taxi trip to you hotel from Lime Street Station.

From London
- For those that come via the channel tunnel to St Pancras Station you should take the underground to Euston station and then the train for Liverpool Lime Street (which leaves every hour) and takes 2hr 10mins.

Driving
- Whether you come via the channel tunnel or take a ferry it will take approxiamately 5hrs from the south coast to Liverpool. Do make sure you check with the hotel beforehand to ensure you have, off road, free parking as not all hotels provide it. Parking within the city centre is expensive. The Crown Plaza has promised a discounted rate of £5 (€6) per day.

Here is the detail of the recent email sent to all team captains:
Gentlemen
Please find attached the registration document for each football team participating in the EMPA 2012 Tournament in Liverpool UK.
Please provide as much detail on the forms as possible or additionally in your covering email.
We appreciating that teams are made up from different regions but please provide just one team captain and one registration form for the whole team and do not forget to include all spectators.
We are having to make bookings and confirm with deposits some of the essential preparations:
- It is therefore necessary to provide the team deposit immediately
- We would appreciate all individual player / spectator payments at least 6 weeks in advance - (5th April)
- Final additions to numbers may be made up to 2 weeks (3rd May)
- Any amendments after 3rd May will need to be confirmed with the organisers
Notes:
- Please be advised that we have a Royal visit to the City of Liverpool by Queen Elizabeth on 17th May so if you have not made hotel bookings please do so at your earliest opportunity.
- If there are any persons requiring vegetarian meals at the gala dinner please let us know in plenty of time.
- Any under 16's should be identified in your response. We have negotiated a reduced gala dinner price.
- Any under 12's can have a children's choice menu – please let us know in your response.
