Built Port Glasgow 1921

 

434 Gross Tons – Length 145 feet Beam 27.7 feet

 

Early in the Second World War she stranded on Ainsdale Beach during a storm on Sunday, November 26th 1939, 8 Pilots, 8 Apprentices and 7 Crew Members out of the total of 33 on board lost their lives, ten were saved.  She was salvaged, refitted and returned to service after wartime use as an examination vessel.
